The Haryana police have booked a 17-year-old national kickboxing player’s parents, brother and sister for allegedly forcing her into prostitution and are looking for four youth for her village in Rohtak district’s Meham for raping her.
A police officer said an FIR was registered against them on Wednesday and they were booked for immoral trafficking.
Sources said the four youth — Rohit, Pradeep, Vijay and Subham — were booked for raping her on the basis of the 17-year-old’s statement.
Meham police station SHO Rajbir Singh said, “We have initiated investigations, but nobody has been arrested so far.”
The girl had gone missing from her home on May 27 and was traced to a shelter home in Rewari town eight days later.
Rewari deputy commissioner C G Rajnikanthan said the girl had approached district child protection officer in Rewari with her complaint recently. Later, a police team from Meham recorded the girl’s statement in Rewari before filing the FIR.
Sources said the kickboxing player told police that her parents had been harassing her and allegedly forcing her to have sex with certain people for the last four years. She told them that she fled home after it become unbearable for her. The girl, the eldest of six sisters, first stayed at a relative’s place in Rewari before moving to the shelter home. Her parents rubbished the allegations, saying she was making such statements under the influence of another villager.
(The girl’s name has been withheld as she is a minor)
